Anniversary Readings
Mission Statement

The Mission of the VFC Anniversary Readings is to expose the ongoing effects of the Chornobyl disaster through the universal language of theater, and to further motivate the play’s audience to aid their charities however they are able.

During the month of April, the rights to perform the play Voices From Chornobyl are free to anyone who donates at least 75% of their proceeds to a Chornobyl Charity (see Guidelines.)

Goals Statement

The Goal of the VFC Anniversary Readings is not only to raise awareness, but also to present an ongoing platform around the world to support those still affected by the Chornobyl disaster. By utilizing the templates already in place by V-Day and Earth Day, the VFC Anniversary Readings will serve as the doorway for people who do not know how an accident in 1986 can still have health effects today. The Anniversary Readings will continue as an annual commemoration and reminder of the help that is still needed.

For more information on hosting your own reading or production see the Guidelines and Registrations page.
