NAHLEEN
BLAKE (Film Producer) is a film and television
Producer with ten years in the business. She started as a Production
Assistant at the New Hampshire affiliate for ABC. She journeyed
to Los Angeles with a BS in Communications/Media under her belt
in 1999, and was soon working as a Page for various television
shows such as The Price Is Right and the soap opera The
Young and the Restless. Nahleen was quickly hired by the
local FOX affiliate to work in Engineering, where her coordinating
talents caught the attention of the Creative Services Department
there. She now handles promotion material for both FOX and what
is now the MyNetworkTV affiliates. She also served as an Associate
Producer for the short film Death Voice, which earned
film festival attention, and as a Creative Consultant for the sketch
comedy group Foe Pa.
COREY
BLAKE (Associate Producer) is a skinny goofball. There’s
just no getting around it. He helped form the sketch comedy
group Foe Pa following a memorable stint with the Los Angeles
branch of
The 3rd Floor. Also seen in the award-winning short film Hattie
Needs Rehab, the feature film The Prince, The
Pimp, The Pauper and the
Spayed, and the pilot for the children’s show Imagination
Station, as well as on stage in an award-winning Los
Angeles production of Chekov’s Three Sisters and Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Corey adds a quirky likability
to his characters. He is also skilled at broad physicality
and unexpected
vocalizations.
Corey Blake also has experience behind the camera. He wrote
for the sketch comedy groups Foe Pa and The 3rd Floor: LA,
providing
scripts
that ranged from insightful social satire to nonsensical whimsy.
He was also a writer for the musical comedy Mission: Improbable,
which he also helped produce. Additionally, he served as associate
producer for the demo trailer for Voices From Chornobyl and
the documentary tentatively titled Graphic Grovel.
In case that isn’t enough, Corey Blake is also editor for writer
Miguel Cima’s work in comic books and graphic novels under
the Dig Comics banner. On The Binder, he has collaborated with
artists such as Jeff Purves (Incredible Hulk), Dame Darcy (Meatcake)
and
Avery Butterworth (The Surreal Adventures of Edgar Allen
Poo).
LAUREN MAZZARESE (East Coast Associate) graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied theatre at Playwrights Horizons Theater School. Lauren has worked as an actor and director for more than 12 years. Her acting credits include Always, Patsy Cline (Louise), Othello (Desdemona), Rumors (Claire), and Parallel Lives: The Kathy and Mo Show. Lauren has directed many plays and musicals as well as several comedic shorts for film but her proudest achievement was the co-creation and direction of a semi-original piece called Cuck 79. Cuck 79 was a dramatic event written and performed by members of Project '79, the alternative school within Westfield High School in New Jersey. Using One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and original research the students explored what it means to be "crazy". The culmination of their work was the play that they wrote, acted, and sang in. These students composed most of and played all of the music, designed and built the set, and wrote and enacted the script. Lauren is currently in the process of becoming a certified counselor. Her goal is to eventually combine her love of theatre and helping people as a drama therapist so she can continue working in with at-risk kids in alternative programs.
LYSANDRA PETERSSON hails from Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, where she produced, directed and edited her first feature-length film, "Thunder at a Playhouse," in 2005.
